About the Department

Objectives

To acquire a sound knowledge of Tamil culture, civilization, and literature, it is imperative for the students to learn the Tamil language and literature.

Competitive Examinations prove to be stumbling blocks for students from rural and semi-urban areas to get enlisted in Govt. service. B.A. Tamil Literature is started by keeping their interest foremost in the agenda.

Tamil Department will serve as an ideal platform for the students to hone their skills and exhibit them in various avenues.

Intensive Coaching will be offered for the learners of Tamil literature in UPSC / TNPSC examinations.

There is a good number of doctorates in the department to lead the students in the right direction. 

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examinations conducted by Government of Tamil Nadu with Tamil as one of the subjects or any other examination accepted by the Syndicate as its equivalent
